El Perro Del Mar Alternative / Undefined El Perro del Mar was founded in the end of 2003 in Gothenburg, Sweden. The sole member of El Perro del Mar, Sarah, initially started out as an mp3/cdr-artist and released her first songs on the Swedish label Hybris. In November 2004 El Perro del Mar released the three-track EP 'What's New? El perro del mar' which included the songs 'This Loneliness, 'It's all good' and 'I can't talk about it'. She also worked together with Swedish Jens Lekman and together they released a split vinyl single on which Sarah contributed with the song 'Shake it off'. In Spring 2005 the previously but somewhat oddly released tunes were collected and turned into the album 'Look! It's El Perro del Mar'. The following summer El Perro del Mar did quite a few live performances around Sweden for an artist who doesn't particurlarly enjoy performing live. In the late summer and fall of 2005 she worked on a new EP which was to be released in November 2005. The three-track EP was entitled 'You Gotta Give To Get'. In Spring 2006 the self entitled album was released in Europe/UK and in November the same year the sound of El Perro del Mar reached American soil. The year of 2006 ended not only with a week of beautiful shows in New York but also with an unforgettable tour in Brazil. 2007 marks a new year and a new start for El Perro del Mar in many ways - the collaboration with Scandinavian label Hybris ended and a new relationship with the Concretes label Licking Fingers was initiated. El Perro del Mar is now well on her way to recording a new album.
