Heatmiser Undefined / Undefined Heatmiser is: Neil Gust, Tony Lash, Elliott Smith & Brandt Peterson. Frontier snatched Heatmiser when Jeremy Wilson (Dharma Bums) gave Frontier a copy of the demo cassette. On the verge of the big time, two of its members got too busy with their side projects. The band broke up in 1996. Elliott Smith has become widely known for his solo work - a few CDs with Kill Rock Stars and most recently a contract with Dreamworks. Tony Lash has become recognized as one of Portland's premiere sound engineers. He has recorded for Weezer and Dandy Warhols. Neil Gust has started a new band called No. 2 with Gilly Ann Hammer from Semi-Sweet and Calamity Jane on bass.
