OhSees

Indie Rock / Alternative

OCS is a duo consisting of John Dwyer (Coachwhips) and Patrick Mullins, both friends residing in SF ,CA. .
It's is an unbelievable rare gift to see Dwyer stripped to an acoustic guitar and a collage of noise. Dwyer creates a more personal record that allows the listener to gain insight on the genius and inner workings of a modern leader in the underground music world. The melodies are beautiful, the songs as interesting if not more so than any of his other bands. A fan of any of his other projects will know that Dwyer's gonna mindfuck our heads good and proper. Just because Dwyer chose to put down his electric guitar and strum an acoustic, this can not be an "ordinary" singer songwriter, folk acoustic thing. In fact, OCS is as intense and soul grabbing as any band Dwyer's played in. The sonic layering, texture of sound and perfectly captured moods creates a completely original record.
OCS 2, is their second full length & the one first for Narnack. "2" contains material spanning the years of 2001-2003. This new album is an introspective and revealing side to John Dwyer and his amazing musicianship. Since 2202, JD has played in half a dozen bands that showcase an entertaining, absurd, bombastic flurry of noise, sweat and manic motion mayhem. Though Dwyer's unmatched energy is a much appreciated and needed force in music as evidenced with the huge buzz surrounding Coachwhips, a secret for Dwyer's success is his ability to take a part of who he is and fearlessly strip it down to some refined basic human truth while coddled in that busted state of consciousness.
On April 19th, 2005 OCS 3 & 4 will be released. It's a dbl disc set, for the price of one.
