Woodbine

Woodbine

Indie Rock / Folk

Woodbine's self titled debut opens with "Mounds of Venus", a lulaby of a pop-song. Susan Dillane's vocals barely whispered over a dominant rhythm and sparse guitars. As a smile appears on our dreamer's face, the second track "Neswik", delivers a comparative slap in the face. The Birmingham trio seem to live in a world of sunset to sunup. FRom that first cocktail of the night at home alone, to the quiet stillness of dawn, Woodbine are there, smoothing out the edges, reflecting on a life that goes by way to quickly. There music seeps out of your crumbling walls and surounds you. Made up of Susan Dillane on vocals, Rob Healy on guitar and Graeme Swindon on bass, percussion and vocals. Woodbine have spent the past few years touring with Brodcast, Smog and Cat Power. Thier seft titled debut was realsed on Domino records. "Exceptional Hangover Soundtrack" ~ Spin Magazine. "If you like Mazzy Star, Jesus and the Mary Chain with more dreamy folk triphop sound Woodbine is sure to deliver." Kevchino.com
