"Sounds Like Everything" doesn't sound like many other cds-except maybe for the other cds in the Plug Research catalog.L.A. dj Carlos Nano and Fabian Ammon Alston are the main members of this fine group.The music is almost completely instrumental except for the very rare vocal samples.It's experimental electronica coming from the funk/jazz angle.The instruments are almost all non-electronic. "Sounds Like Everything" comes off as sort of retro/modern. The song "1st Melody Music" starts with a great bass sound.The drums are followed by some fine jazz piano chords.Then the song leads into a live sounding lounge jazz recording."Our Cry For Peace" has a great conga drum workout that fits in a nice flute melody.This is one of the few songs with vocals.The song sounds like one of the few on the cd that were recorded live.My two favorites are "Uno What I Mean" and "Houseplants".They are both minimalist funk with very strong bass lines.The use of handclap percussion is a lot of fun. As with most Plug Research cds-you have to be in the mood for quirky electronic music to be a happy consumer."Sounds Like Everything" is one of their stronger releases.Ammoncontact makes some very interesting stuff.Keep It up.
