Clinic is one of those bands you will love or hate. They have an amazing quick forceful sound which sounds like the Violent Femmes singer Gordan Gano teamed up with Radiohead and Gang of Four.
'Walking with Thee', Clinic's second release contains 11 tracks. The first time I was listening to the album I thought it was three different bands, they have diverse moods ranging from melancholy to nerves, chaos. The opening track'Harmony' starts of with erie Halloween keyboard melodies, clarinet and low piano noises as Ade Blackburn softly insists, 'Fill yourself with Dreams.'
The single 'Come into our Room' is intoxicatingly dreamy as well as 'Mr. Moonlight'and 'For the Wars'.
'Welcome' and Walking with Thee' take listeners on a fast ride Carl Tuney's intricately precise drumming and vocalist Ade Blackburn's riveting vocal mantras balanced with Hartley's shrilling urban guitar presence.
The album is refreshing and amazing. I hear there live shows are as short as The Strokes and the boys all dawn surgeons masks! To be in love, what more could you want?
