Cornelius is the stage name for Japanese recording artist Keigo Oyamada. He has often been compared to Beck, but on this collection he reminds me of the French group Air. The music traverses a range of styles. from ambient to funk to avant metal. This DVD contains videos for ten different songs. They are not performance videos, but experimental films set to the music of Cornelius.

The DVD opens with a video for "Point Of View". The visuals are time lapse photography like Madonna's video for "Ray Of Light". The music starts with a synthesizer followed by acoustic guitar and a great drum pattern. "Drop" and "Drop-Do It Again" are two different videos for the same song. The first one revolves around a boy playing with water in a bathroom sink. The other video involves the same boy blowing bubbles in a water glass.

I preferred the second video. The music is light Euro-pop with some nice acoustic guitar. "I Hate Hate" is avant punky metal with visuals of paint splatters. My favorite video/song was "Another Point Of View". The visuals are chemistry/physics/anatomy experiments from high school against a black background.Weird but fun! The music is electro-funk with a great bass line.

"Five Point One" is a very interesting DVD.The visuals fit his music very well. I had never heard Cornelius before-and like his music very much. I think that I would listen to a CD rather than watch a DVD over and over again. Worth seeing and hearing!
