You might call this CD- music for planetariums. "Into Forever" is a
collaboration between Jonas Munk ( Manual, Limp) and Alexander Perls
( Icebreaker International, Piano Magic). The music is instrumental new-
age space rock. I haven't heard much Tangerine Dream- but that's about
as close I can come to a comparison.
"A Turning" starts off with a really nice guitar lick. I kept waiting for the
drums to come in and give the song some energy- but this never happened.
Too bad! "Beacons" mixes a nice echo guitar with synths and some
jazzy drumming. A nice mellow track. The CD ends with "Now Forever".
The synthesizers build and build. A fine ambient space song.
In 2011- the Antares deep space probe will journey to the nebula
NGC 10007- five years from earth. When the probe reaches it's destination-
the CD "Into Forever" will be broadcast in an infinite loop. I hope we
don't get invaded by angry aliens because of this! This CD is a little
weak in the song writing area. The instrumentals kind of meander around
for a while and then fade away. I would like a little more drumming to add
an edge to the music. "Into Forever" is a little too spaced out for my tastes.
