"Yours Truly, Angry Mob." This would appear to be something you would never want to see on the end of a letter, but in this case, we can make an exception. The follow-up album by Leeds beloved Kaiser Chiefs, "Yours Truly, Angry Mob," have brought some catchy new tunes to the table including the #1 UK Single, "Ruby."

For so many fans, this album has had great expectations to follow the success of there debut album, "Employment." Right off the start of the album, we get the latest single, "Ruby" and immediately filll our faces with a smile. After listening to the first couple tracks, I am waiting for something along the lines of "I predict a riot" but I don't seem to get it. It takes me a few lessons to adapt to the new songs. I felt that no matter how I tried to hear the songs I just wasn't getting it.

So I drive around all day starting and stopping the tracks everytime I get to a destination. In my opinion, music is always better while driving. So for the first few stops I was a bit disappointed. I think its because I was focusing too hard on the lyrics, and the format it was written. Then I stopped and realize, this is a dance-pop group, they are making this to jump and shake and have a good time. That is exactly what I felt after listening to the songs over a handful of times.

The first track to really stand out to me as a milestone for the group is "Love's Not A Competition, But I'm Winning." I really can't get enough of this song! Everytime I play it, I grow to love it more than anyone else... But I know it's not a competition, but i'm winning anyways. The lyrics are humorous, yet very sensitive. So many can relate to this feeling of a relationship that seems to become like a competition, and they really nail the vibe of it right on the head. Just like the lyrics say "you've heard it all before," suggest you know a similar song, but the mood behind this song is extremely unique. The melody is beautiful, and with the capability to make a song like this, it really shows how versatile this "dance-pop" group can be.

Every song was deemed ready for radio play. Chorus after chorus, they show you how to make a sing-a-long so much fun. My favorite song to rock out to in my car goes hands down to, "Heat Dies Down." It starts with a "Fade To Black" resembling guitar, followed by lyrics that seem to flow in like waves. By the time the chorus comes in, you have your eyes closed, head shaking back and forth joyfully singing "When the heat dies down, I'll be back in town!" You will definately put this track on repeat.

I originally thought that the album would be great, yet predictable. When I popped it in, I was blown away by there growth since the debut. I was disappointed the first day I heard it, because it wasn't exactly what I expected. I have had it for a week now, and this is packed with amazing tunes and now has exceeded my expectations. If you aren't into it at first, don't get frustrated. The key is to not over analyze it. This album grows on you, as do most albums that become collection favorites. Think back on all the cd's you bought years ago. You didn't understand it at first, but in time you loved it. That's how this album rolls!
