For everyone who knows the intensity of music with a political and chaotic edge – I welcome you to Killing Joke’s new album: “Killing Joke...” This is without a doubt a must have album. The timing for this highly-charged post-punk band’s return is a not a minute too soon. Killing Joke return with a thirst that many new groups would be envious. From its inception in ‘78, Killing Joke has harbored a near uncontrollable rage at authority to match their political pretenses. This album is a prime example.

In sampling the lyrics, examples such as “you’ve got blood on your hands - corruption at the highest levels” and “I’ll never let you get to me” are very current and hit hard at a world that has taken a turn for the worse since 2000.

Killing Joke’s line up consists of original members Jaz Colman, Geordie, Paul Ferguson, with the addition on drums of no other than Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters/Nirvana.) The last, being a drawing point for a lot of fans too young to remember the chaos - though not to be discounted, as he adds his style to the band’s intensity. The record was recorded in London and LA, and produced by Andy Gill (Gang Of Four, Red Hot Chili Peppers.)
