The eight track 'Airs Above Your Station,' starts with nine minute “Steve’s Basement,” which begins with some ambient noise which transcends into angelic strummed guitar, delicate and extremely melodic bass line which breaks into a hypnotic beat laden and Smashing Pumpkins-esque guitars played on a walkman filled with dying batteries.
The highlight track and single is 'Semaphore' which starts of with some delayed phase shifting guitar with crying leads as drummer Dave Weeks, rides the high hat to an explosive gutair jam contained by Chris Martin and Matthew Reid Swartz that pulsates and quivers, hen explodes into a rain storm of sound.
Bassist Lucy Atkinson holds the gasoline-fueled music together with style and grace, as she contributes her voice on “Rhode Island Freakout” which brings back memories of Sonic Youth’s Kim Gordon.
Kinski's cerebral song orchestrations are beautifully arranged, providing some extremely intoxicating music, with more rocking approach than their previous album, 'Be Gentle With the Warm Turtle' Take a listen to 'Semaphore' in the listening section and decide for yourself.
