My Morning Jacket's latest release, 'At Dawn', is hauntingly beautiful music.
This five-piece band hails from Louisville, Kentucky, and at times sound like The Flaming Lips, Grandaddy, The Band, and Beck's 'Sea Change' album while maintaining their own unique sound. And oh it's just the way that lead singer-songwriter Jim James sings, notes soaring until our ears cry.
Rounding out the lineup is Jim's cousin Johnny Quaid on guitar, Two-Tone Tommy on bass, Danny Cash on keyboards, and Patrick Hallahan on drums.
Standout tracks on the album include, 'At Dawn,' 'The Way That He Sings,' 'Bermuda Highway,' and 'Phone Went West'. Why not give The album a listen and pick out your own favorites, or check out their website for more information.
