Fast paced guitars drive the title track with a sweeping keyboard overlaid for good measure. "Don't Bother" wields the great line "Strawberries, blood and a long walk home" in outlining its tale of hopelessness. The Enhanced CD single format gives a video for "Bring Back the Good Times" catching the Red Hot Valentines in action and supplements the three songs on Calling Off Today ably. It's carefree summer fare for driving your Dad's car with the top down and no particular destination. Envision a gutsier Matchbox 20 - a more groomed version of Green Day. For this time of year, when searing hot days and long tepid nights are the order, this light brand of rock is almost necessity.
