Oakland's four-piece, Rogue Wave debut with "Out of the Shadow," filled with twelve lush sixties-pop tracks.
"Out of the Shadow" Largely a solo project of Rogue Wave front man Zach Rogue (previously of Desoto Reds). It was recorded long before the band's current line-up ever assembled. It's a James Mercer of the Shins, a little Alt-Country and a lot of sixties-pop arrangements.
The Album plays through well . The stand out tracks are the melancholy "Postage Stamp World," and their poppy hit "Endless Shovel," and the kitsch "Nourishment Nation." A fun new band.
