This San Francisco band promises to surrender you to a clam relaxing dream state. It's first track on this five track 'Ephemera,' 'The Waltz' is a very repetitious minimal track track preparing you for the beautifully written 'Looking For Things' a fifteen minute ambient soundscape with influence's of Lycia, My Bloody Valentine, Red Stars Theory and Mogwai's calmer tracks. The intricate, arpegiated bass line on 'Looking For Things' really drives well with the subtle, powerfuldrum work, while guitars, and keyboard's chime and drone in high and low frequencies. The next two tracks consist of a two part song appropriately entitled 'Two Sides Myself.' Which is a drift through sparse and ambient keyboard movements with washing guitars. The last and final track is 'Searching For Things' starting with a sequenced skipping sound into a beautiful composed guitar based melodies which allow for the drums and base to bring a climax to this collection of their singles 1999-2000.
