Four years passed, Toad the Wet Sprocket lubed and ready.
The band shows new strength as it embarks on first national tour
in years.

When Toad the Wet Sprocket broke up in 1998, nobody thought
they would ever return to the stage again. On Tuesday February 4,
the prayers were answered as Toad put the past behind them and
embarked on a 24 city national tour aptly titled the „P.S.‰ tour.
Although the band was a bit rusty on this opening night at the
Grove in Anaheim, there was no doubt that the capacity crowd got
there moneys worth as they blazed though fifteen years and seven
proper albums of material and new songs by lead Toad, Glen
Phillips.
It was no surprise to see this return after very successful opening
slots for Counting Crows in December of last year. The band was
set to reconvene for one last tour when summoned by the
manager of Counting Crows to come and play some shows in
California as Toad the Wet Sprocket. Guitarist Todd Nichols,
Bassist Dean Dinning and Drummer Randy Guss were ready to
give it a go one last time putting their collective differences to rest.
The set was consistent of Toad songs spanning the entire career
of the band, dating back to its inception and debut release. Songs
like Know Me all the way back from Bread and Circus to a Todd
sang gem Crazy Life, to new songs that the band only had „three
days to learn‰ according to Guss who has always been know to
commander the mike in years past.
As the tour continues and the band settles into its once
unsurpassed groove, those who catch this tour will be in for a sure
treat possibly giving newcomers such as Dave Matthews and John
Mayer a run for their money if Toad continues to give it a go.

The set list for the 2/4/2003 show at the Grove:
